Encryption and secret key
Rooms are opened with a secret key. The user controls access, while sensitive data is stored and transferred with encryption in mind.
Volt Chat Messenger brings encrypted rooms, audio and video calls, files, chess, temporary One rooms, recovery and Volt Coin into one independent space.
The project is currently in beta testing. Access is opened gradually.
A phone number, email or address book is not required for normal room access. A main account is optional and used for recovery and advanced features.
Rooms are opened with a secret key. The user controls access, while sensitive data is stored and transferred with encryption in mind.
Temporary rooms are removed from the server after all participants leave, including messages, events and service records.
Rooms support messages, files, MP3, video, captioned photos, albums, audio calls and video calls.
Play chess with a user or computer, download the game history and use chat reactions.
The balance is linked to the main user. Top-ups and transfers between main users are supported.
The main user stores recovery history for saved rooms and helps restore access after reinstalling the app.
The server is used for event delivery, encrypted room data, files, push notifications, recovery and technical diagnostics. Data is not shared with third parties. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card data never reaches the Volt Chat server.
Leave a request if you want early access and would like to help make Volt Chat more stable.
